History of Lean Closet

History of Lean Closet

Cuyana was founded with an inherent, deep-rooted mission: a desire to have an impact beyond creating beautiful apparel and accessories. We truly believe that fewer, better things will lead to a fuller, richer life.
That is how the Lean Closet program came about: we wanted to create a way to activate this philosophy of fewer, better for our customers. We want women to focus on buying and owning only what they love, and we want to find ways to give back to women in need. We launched Lean Closet alongside the brand in June 2013, and since then, countless women have participated.

H.E.A.R.T.

Our official partner for the Lean Closet Program is H.E.A.R.T. (Helping Ease Abuse Related Trauma). H.E.A.R.T., part of the Violence Intervention Program, was created to help victims of abuse move forward and build new lives. All of our Lean Closet activations benefit H.E.A.R.T. and the wonderful women they help start anew.

Starting this January, every time you order from Cuyana, a free thredUP shipping label will be included in your box. When you send your clothes to thredUP with a Cuyana x thredUP shipping label, you will earn Cuyana credit from the pieces they accept, plus 15% bonus credit from us as a thank you.
