The story of our craftsmanship expresses a narrative of deep-rooted heritage, skillful craftsmanship and a culture of artisans discovered around the world. From European locations like Portugal, Italy, and Scotland to the United States and all over South America—each piece in our collection is designed to be timeless and made to last. Explore the hero pieces from some of our most depended-on suppliers.

Italy

Italian craftsmanship has always been a significant part of our story. We work with small family-owned businesses and the same artisans as the world's most respected couture ateliers. As with everything we do, the beauty is in the details—finely curated lines and materials like rich cashmere, wool, supple leather, and suede are the secret behind some of our most coveted pieces.

United States

The United States is where we manufacture some of our most enduring and iconic silk pieces. Our 23-year old supplier is based in New York City, where he crafts some of our key essential products from heavyweight, couture-quality silk.

Argentina

Our inspired Co-Founders traveled to Argentina in search of the best leather craftsmanship out there. True artisans with a great talent for design, our passionate Argentine partners are celebrated in the art of “marroquinería” (the practice of making leather goods). It is now the source of our most loved leather accessories like our key carryalls and travel case sets.

Peru

Our family-run partners in Peru have become like family—each piece they create is woven to perfection by skilled artisans. The gorgeous quality of Peruvian alpaca and pima cotton is apparent by the soft handle and the way they age with wear. From classic pima T-shirts to an enduring edit of alpaca sweaters, Peru is the source of so many staples.

Ecuador

The origin of our Co-Founder and CEO, Karla Gallardo, Ecuador has always been a core part of our DNA. It is the home of our iconic straw hats crafted from Toquilla straw sourced from the Andes. It takes 8 hours to weave one Toquilla straw piece by hand. Each square inch of 1 single piece consists of between 1600 to 2500 hand weaves. In 2012, this difficult skill to master was added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists.

Turkey

Turkish cotton-poplin essentials are a mainstay in our collection of key closet staples. Its finely woven fibers ensure it is soft, yet it is substantial enough to achieve thoughtfully tailored lines. This crisp fabrication is the foundation for designs like our artfully draped shirtdress and coveted pleat-back shirt.

China

There’s a reason why 90% of all silk comes from China. Dating back nearly 5,000 years, this natural fiber, with its beautiful texture and inherent luster, continues to inspire the timeless silhouettes of today. In pursuit of this opulent fabric, we traveled to the regions of Hangzhou and Shenzhen for a closer look at silk’s deep-rooted origins and how it’s meticulously crafted.

In addition, they are incredible partners in crafting innovative, technological products, like our new seamless body pieces.
